Privacy Policy

MinKompis is an app that connects dog owners with their dog daycare. It is provided by Pethico AB, Sweden ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data the app handles and why. Questions: support@minkompisapp.se.

Who is responsible for your data

Your daycare decides who it invites and what it records about the dogs in its care, so for that information the daycare is the data controller and we process it on the daycare's behalf. For the sign-in and account data needed to run the app itself, we are the controller.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and name, and your role at the daycare (owner, staff or admin).
• Your dog: name, breed, date of birth, sex, weight, whether neutered, allergies, special needs and behaviour notes, an emergency contact (name and phone), the veterinary clinic (name and phone), a profile photo and photos of vaccination cards.
• Daycare activity: bookings and weekly schedules, check-in and check-out times, lunch and walk records, and notes that staff keep about a dog.
• Content you or the staff share: feed photos and captions, likes and comments, and chat messages between an owner's household and the daycare.
• Notifications: if you allow them, a push notification token for your device so we can send you updates such as a new message or a check-in.

We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we do not sell personal data. The app does not access your location, contacts or camera. It only reads photos you pick yourself.

Why we use it

• To let you sign in and use the app (sign-in codes are sent by email).
• To let the daycare take care of your dog and keep you informed.
• To send the notifications and emails described above, such as invitations and vaccination expiry reminders.
• To keep the service secure and working.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that run the app for us, under data processing terms:

• Supabase hosts the database, sign-in and file storage, in the EU (Ireland).
• Resend delivers emails (EU, Ireland).
• Expo and Apple deliver push notifications to your device.

Within the app, information is visible only to people at your daycare. Owners see their own household's dogs and chat. Staff and admins of the daycare see the dogs booked with them. The feed is visible to everyone at the daycare (owners and staff). Staff can only tag a dog in a feed photo if its owner has opted in.

How long we keep it

We keep data for as long as your daycare uses MinKompis, and you can ask the daycare to delete a dog's records at any time.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Account and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your login, your profile and your notification tokens. Some things stay, by design:

• Your dogs and their bookings remain with the daycare and with anyone else in your household, because they belong to the daycare's records. To have a dog's records removed, ask your daycare or write to us.
• Posts, comments, chat messages and notes you made keep the name you had at the time but are no longer linked to an account.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Write to support@minkompisapp.se and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se).

Children

MinKompis is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where it matters, tell you in the app.
